DFS3000 Lighting System
With thousands of installations around the world the UK manufactured DFS3000 RGB / RGBW LED lamp continues to be a most successful product. Featuring strong acrylic diffusers, the system is ideal for theatrical and events applications as well as permanent installations. Using Glasson Electronics combined power and data system, up to a full DMX universe of individually controlled DFS3000 lamps are powered from a single VP or IP series driver. All on a single two conductor cable.
The lamps employ a standard E27 lamp base (B22 version available) so can be used with any standard E27 lamp holders. The system is polarity insensitive so wiring could not be simpler.
DFS3000 is available in three intensity levels, Std, Hi and Super Hi (SH). All versions are available in RGB. Hi and SH are also available in RGBW. All versions operate at voltages lower than the SELV limit.
All Glasson Electronics LED products employ linear current control as opposed to PWM. This provides extremely smooth diming even at low intensities.
Three diffusers are available as detailed below. Each diffuser type can be offered in white, clear or smoked.

Main Features of the DFS3000 Lighting System

DFS3000 Operation
A system is comprised of a VP or IP series mains driver (VP and IP Power Units). These accept universal mains supply and output a DC voltage with the combined power and data signal modulated on the supply. Up to a full DMX universe (170 RGB or 127 RGBW) DFS3000 lamps all wire in parallel from the driver output. Lamps can be wired in strings or can be individually wired and connect back to the power unit outputs using terminals or splitters.
Prior to fitting into the installation lamp holder, each DFS3000 lamp is assigned a number using the Hand Programmer. The number relates to the DMX address and makes a given lamp unique on the system. Note that multiple lamps can be assigned the same number and will then operate from the same DMX Channels.
Once installation is complete, each lamp will respond to the assigned DMX channels. The system realises individual control of up to 170 lamps with just a single two conductor cable.
