Infra-Red Hand Programmer
The IR (Infra-red) hand programmer is a commissioning and maintenance tool for Glasson Electronics lighting products. Each Lamp on a system can be programmed with a lamp number with a value between 1 and 250 (maximum lamp number is system and lamp type dependent). The hand programmer is used to set or read the lamp number using a short-range infrared link.
Operation
To enable a lamp to receive a new lamp number the associated power unit must be set to enable IR hand programmer. This strategy ensures the lamp number cannot be corrupted during normal operation. When IR hand programmer mode is set, lamps will generally light a given colour or intensity before they are programmed and will change colour / intensity when programming is successful. To program a given lamp, place the end of the hand programmer on or close to the lamp to be programmed and press PROG. The hand programmer automatically increments to the next lamp number after a lamp is programmed.
